What Inspires What Inspires

Life is Art

I came across this last night while perusing tumblr during a bought of sleeplessness. I did not write this.I could have. It resonates with me. I've come back to it a few times today, and while I find myself up after midnight--when I really should be sleeping. I thought I'd share. You can thank me later...Or not.

I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk.Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea.How you decorate your home.Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel.

Life is art.

I've tried in vain to find the author of this lovely sentiment, but went on a trip on a number of tumblr blogs, flickr accounts etc. I'm kind of bummed because I would like to know about the person who wrote this.

I'm going to feel really dumb if it's some super famous quote.

love & an artful life,

Turn the Light On

Yesterday afternoon whilst my husband and  I nervously drove back to Target hoping to find Evan's beloved "Meow Meow", a stuffed cat he is attached to he remarked on how he really enjoyed the way I put a positive spin on things.I can't help it.That is why I am certain that this particular quote from Harry Potter always stayed with me..."Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light."  - Albus DumbledoreI think Albus Dumbledore was an eternal optimist too.I'm pretty sure, nay I'm positive, he and I would have gotten along quite smashingly.Love & Lights, nicólephoto: weheartit.com

Snapshot Life

My life would be full. My photo album would be bursting at the seams with pictures cramming up every available space and filling out, falling to the ground, like a breadcrumb trail where ever I went. The photos symbolic of love. The love I feel, have shared, and have felt from others.

The Sun Never Says, "You Owe Me"

Aside from writing for my other blog, I hadn't been writing much until last week. I set a firm goal for myself, with regards to when I wanted to have my novel completed and then got to the work. I had some trouble in the beginning with a few scenes. I tried outlining and that didn't work out for me. Instead I simply wrote down "beginning", "middle" and "end" in my notebook and wrote down important things I want to happen. Just seeing that on paper was all the organizing I needed and it really helped to motivate me.I'm a visual person and my writing is a visual experience for me. I see my characters and the things that happen when I write. Sometimes I like to go look at pictures, or read quotes that help inspire me.I've decided to post phrases or pictures that inspire me here and the reasons behind them. Maybe they'll help inspire you too!I found this quote inspirational, because I am writing a love story and this one left me starry eyed.
