NaNoWriMo Update Day 3
Yesterday did not to prove to be a good day in the writing department. I couldn't get the time in.
I had a ton of errands to run and every time I actually sat down to write something would inevitably interrupt me.
I did manage to write a whopping 526 words in the parking lot of our local MTF (Military Treatment Facility).
Those words came because it was the only time during the day when I actually wasn't disturbed for any stretch of time or otherwise busy doing something else (I'm going to ignore the fact that I spent a lot of time on Tumblr yesterday.)
If I could just recreate this scenario in some way shape or form I can totally bust this novel out!
I figure the following will help me to just that.
1.) I was alone. (I'm not counting my sleeping Evan).
2.) I really can write practically anywhere. Have you ever took out your laptop and sat it on your steering wheel?
3.) Read number one.
I was ready to cry into my latte because I essentially lost the gains I made the day before right around the time I pulled out my son Michael's school photograph. When I saw this face busting out of the plastic window I was immediately a little scared and laughing profusely!
I just knew I had to use it to display my word count tally.
I'm hoping this weekend I can recreate scenario number one and three (preferably in a bookstore or coffee shop.)
Yes. That's a total hint to my husband. Who may, or may not read this post.
